Sony has reason to celebrate. The Playstation 5 has sold more than 40 million units worldwide since its launch in November 2020 through July 16, 2023. Despite initial supply shortages due to the COVID 19 pandemic, Sony says it now has sufficient inventory. The PS4 reached this mark a few weeks earlier. More than 2,500 games have been released for the PS5. The store currently lists 90 VR games for the console’s PSVR 2 headset (600,000 units sold by May 2023).
